The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is the Chi Omega Fraternity's National Philanthropy. Since the start of our alliance in 2001, Chi Omegas have made a difference in many children's lives through volunteering time, talents, and dollars. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has honored Chi Omega for the incredible volunteer efforts of our members - Chi Omegas across the country have raised over $17 million and donated nearly one million volunteer hours to Make-A-Wish!

The philanthropy efforts of Chi Omega at Cal go towards Make-A-Wish of the Greater Bay Area. Our chapter has donated more than 2000 hours and over $58,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation through fundraisers like Kick It With Chi O and our Chi O'Merica BBQ. 

 

Typically, every spring Chi Omega hosts our annual Kick It With Chi O kickball competition. Fraternity men from different chapters on campus come together to compete in a kickball tournament, all in the name of Make-A-Wish. All of the entry fees and ticket sales go towards the Make-A-Wish foundation. Each fraternity is coached by a group of women in the chapter and the event is fun, competitive, and best of all, supports a great cause! Kick It With Chi O in the spring raised over 3,600 dollars for Make-A-Wish!

We are planning on continuing to support Make-A-Wish this year, and philanthropy is huge to us. We'll keep you updated when we know what that looks like!
